Bilby is practice management software for Australian mental health practices, made by Bilby Labs in Melbourne.
What Bilby does
Bilby brings appointments, waitlists, online bookings, clinical notes, forms, invoicing, payments, Medicare claiming, client communication and key integrations into one system. From a client’s first booking to their notes, payment and next appointment, the work stays connected.
Practices can publish a clinic page with practitioner profiles and online bookings, send forms and reminders by email or SMS, take card payments through Stripe and claim Medicare rebates or bulk bill without an additional Medicare fee. The product overview describes each part in more detail.
Who it is for
Bilby is built for Australian psychology and psychiatry practices, from solo practitioners to growing multidisciplinary clinics. If you work in another profession and need scheduling, billing and Medicare, we can talk through whether it fits.
Who makes it
Bilby is made by Bilby Labs Pty Ltd (ABN 98 699 098 354) in Melbourne, Victoria. It was designed by a clinical psychologist for the everyday work of Australian mental health practices.
Where Bilby stands
Bilby is in production at a small number of clinics, using real patient records. Practices join by applying for a trial. We arrange a demonstration, discuss whether Bilby suits your practice and help plan your setup and move. Trial arrangements are agreed with each practice.
Where records are kept
Clinical records, uploaded files, encryption keys and backups are hosted on Amazon Web Services in Sydney. Some connected services process information outside Australia, and each is listed in the service provider register. The security page covers encryption, backups, staff roles and what happens to your records if you leave.
Pricing
Bilby costs $39 AUD per clinical practitioner, per month, including GST. Administrative users are included without a seat fee. Subscriptions are month to month and can be cancelled at any time. SMS usage, electronic prescribing and Stripe card processing are charged separately; see pricing for current amounts.
Moving to Bilby
Bilby has one-click importers for Halaxy, Cliniko and Zanda. For other systems, we offer a personalised migration where feasible. Before you commit, we’ll confirm what can be imported and how the move would work. Migration assistance is included when you move to a paid plan.
